The Support trainers are very knowledgable. If you haven’t worked with adults swim teaching before, it’s a good starting point. An efficient way of teaching adults with experience. The venues are beautiful and the teams working at the venues are lovely.

Not advised for experienced teachers or those who are weak willed. Managment style is brutal , pressure to gain your own clients is high with your performance constantly monitored, if you hit below 80% capacity at any point you will be scrutinised. Gaslighting is frequent, Managment maintain control with an overly complex pay system to ensure all paper work is done for them for each venue by staff. In a meeting once where an instructor did do the paper work but not in the way the owner wanted he was threatened with the money not being given to him. Teaching style required to teach here needs you to focus on completing the modules for the client not for the pace the client is comfortable with. If client doesn’t finish in allocated time, you are reprimanded. Managment and teaching style lacks empathy for clients, while asking you to build relations with them. Contradictory instructions are frequent, make sure you communicate via messaging and record all interactions. High turnover of staff noted by management at venues, which should be a concern for management to address why that might be. Many of these reviews speak of bullying and harassment, I do think while feelings are valid I did not experience bullying but did experience high levels of gaslighting, self importance, and shifting goal posts common with other reviews

If swimming is your passion and you want a career in the aquatics industry, there isn't a better place than Turner Swim. The first major positive about this company is as a teacher they're able to offer you a proper job either in a full or part time position, which isn't the case in most swim teacher jobs, for example on average I teach a total of 30 hours a week for over four years now! Secondly the management team within Turner Swim really cares about its employees, they give constant internal support and training as well as providing funding for external qualifications like the open water swimming teacher course. This amazing level of support has taken me from learning how to perfect the art of teaching adults, to launching a swimming fitness app and to now helping the company grow further. In terms of the teaching you get to work within amazing hotels which all have lovely swimming pools, the clients are also great and it's really rewarding to help them progress using the Turner Swim methods. These methods have been built and perfected by the founder and the results are unbelievable, for example by using the Turner Swim methods I recently taught a client who started off by not being able to float, but after a series of lessons they achieved their goal and ended up swimming the English Channel! I can't thank Turner Swim enough for giving me the support to develop my teaching and skills, as well as giving me the opportunity to have a career within the industry I love.
