Overly political, overly bureaucratic, doesn't adapt well to change - Applications Developer UC Davis Employee Review

IT is incredibly siloed. As a result, there's a lot of duplication of efforts and mismanagement of information. Each IT department is incredibly protective of its assets and power. Attempts to break down barriers between departments -- to share knowledge, technology, resources, etc. -- results in a lot of unnecessary pushback. Many IT employees here are overly complacent in their jobs and difficult to work with; they just don't feel inspired by their work!
