      Not to crowded, easy parking, amazing weather all year. Union is very helpful working for students and postdocs.

      Cons

      Rent is hard to find and a bit pricey, but better than other UC places! Gas is expansive!

      Great institution serving a diverse student population. Plenty of interesting research labs. Decent benefits.

      Cons

      Commuter school so traffic and parking can be terrible. Select your PI wisely, and ensure healthy work life balance.
