      Pros

      Great to put UCLA on your resume; the name carries weight. Also, set working hours so you always know what to expect for your schedule.

      Cons

      Low pay due to being a state organization and so much red tape. Good workers have high turnover and poor workers stick around. Managers have their hands tied.

      Great health insurance - I'm told it's really quite fire (no lie) Great location - love Westwood (sandwiched by Brentwood, Bel Air, and Beverly Hills) Union is tremendously supportive

      Campus dining options are kinda weak - breaks my heart to eat the same thing every day

      Working with students is satisfying and fulfilling. It also helps yourself retain information you have learned from past courses.

      The Peer Learning Unit is poorly managed, and it is difficult to communicate with your supervisors.
