Pros

Compensation is adequate (assuming only a 40 hr week, often expected to do more) Facility in Lowell is nice

Cons

If Kronos spent half as much effort getting rid of the dinosaur executives as it did on working with "great place to work" consulting and marketing, it might actually be a great place to work. Other reviews have also said it. Work-life balance does not apply in engineering, support or professional services. Everyone is constantly in chaos so nobody ever has time to think strategically. Don't take initiative here, you will either be "rewarded" with extra work, or told you need to "stay in your lane". Executives can't even be held accountable. Even if you do what you are told, and warn them about a bad idea, it'll still be your fault and they'll say "I don't remember you talking about these risks". You will constantly have to decide between doing the right thing to do for the company and potentially making your team/org look bad. We never have real conversations about the underlying problems because everyone is too focused on not being the ones blamed. Forget trying to move to another part of the company. Executives shut down transfers all the time. HR will deny this, but I've had it happen to at least 4 other colleagues including myself.

Pros

Working from home and the benefits are okay, but not really any different from those in most other organizations.

Cons

Too many managers are ill-informed about how much work there is to complete. Too many meetings pull employees away from work, yet they are chastised for work-life balance. I do not want to miss a deadline, so I work extra hours but don't report them. Processes seem to change daily. People-first is all but forgotten. Customer service is the unsung hero, carrying the weight of the world but often overlooked. Unrealistic classroom times leave little to no time for Q&A. There are manager pets and clicks in the organization. "Ohana" (meaning Family) is a joke. Do not share innovations with others; they are often stolen by others who will take accolades and credit for themselves. There are egotistical managers who could use a lesson in humility. Growth is nearly impossible. Personal review is a waste of my time. The manager is going to override my ratings with their own. Just give me my review and let's get on with it. It's been all downhill since the merge. Layoffs are a constant worry.
