Pros

Good benefits. I had to enter at least 5 words to submit this. That is all I can come up with.

Cons

Let's start here: I worked for my first company in sales for 17 years, the second company in sales for 9. I lasted 7 months at Kronos. I was only there for a few weeks when the sales team had a call with HR where they admitted they turn over 22% of the salesforce every year. Alarm bells had already started going off. In fact, I knew within two weeks that I made a terrible mistake. Here is a summary: 1. They will not give you the comp. plan when they make you an offer. They will only show you how you are paid after you start. Had I understood the comp plan, I wouldn't have accepted the job. It was NOT what I was told verbally and I had no chance of making what they told me I could make. 2. The week after I was hired, my territory changed. I had to travel from the east coast to the mid-west every week. My territory was the mid west even though I lived on the east coast. 3. I was told I would have about 250 prospects. I had less than 100. 4. The technology is old, outdated and tired. I asked to see a demo when I interviewed and I wasn't shown that either. They are trying to move into the HCM space. They have no hope of being able to compete with Ceridian or Ultimate Software in that arena. They have no idea what a good human capital management system should look like. The UI alone was enough to make most of my prospects comment on how bad it was. 4. There are layers and layers of bureaucracy you have to go through as a sales rep to get anything done, including a price quote. Be prepared to wait weeks and talk to half dozen people in order to get a quote to a prospect. 5. Salesforce was a MESS and you can't make changes. You can't even change the phone number on an account if it's wrong. You have to submit a work order to have things changed in salesforce like phone numbers or company addresses. I waited months for changes to be made. I ended up having to rig the system with notes so that I had valid data to work with. 6. Management isn't helpful. I really don't think anybody cares if their turnover is close to 25% year after year in sales. They just figure they'll find another naive soul like I was. They were in a real hurry to hire me. I was in a real hurry to get the hell out as fast as I could.

Pros

There was once a great company named Ultimate Software, it was destroyed by a hostile takeover from H&F, a private equity firm, and a merger with Kronos to become UKG. There are very few Pros since that time.

Cons

When this company was Ultimate Software, prior to the takeover from H&F and the merger with Kronos, it was a world class company with top shelf people. The company Motto was "People First" and they truly lived by that motto, never a layoff, great working environment and stealer benefits. Since the takeover and subsequent merger with Kronos, to become UKG this company has taken a path of "Money First", which is understandable given the greedy nature of Private Equity Firms like H&F. They have systematically closed most of the offices across the US and have been expanding their footprint in Noida India, for obvious reasons. The leadership that has been put in place by H&F is clearly focused on IPO. And we all know what that means, clean up the books and make the company look as good on paper as possible. Can you say "Lipstick on a Pig". This was once a great company when it was run by Scott and Viv but now it has gone the way of the Private Equity management and is heading for a great fall.
