Pros

The company does really well on communicating to employees. They value their employees feedback with surveys each year. They take the top issues they need to work on and run with it. They are a global company and everyone within the business is there to help. Very customer focused. Love knowing this company is all about safety and making the world a safer place with every day consumer goods.

Cons

Being that it is a global company and has up to 10000+ employees, there is some big corporation feel at times. Biggest complaint is lack of person to person training when any new programs are rolled out for use. And then given deadlines by which we have to begin using them. A lot of training is via websites and sitting at your desk. I'm more hands on and learn a lot better and faster this way.

Pros

UL solution was my first office job and engineering experience. It did not disappoint, and got me excited for my future, The HR and hiring team were all so nice and helpful throughout my internship. My managers were helpful, patient, and understanding when I had a family emergency near the end of my internship that forced me to leave the country temporary. The internship showed the various departments in the company, not just the one we had applied for. Would definitely recommend anyone to apply for them.

Cons

UL solutions is focused in certifications and safety, so if you are expecting projects involving development and design this is not the place, We had to do a breakdown on products and perform tests to ensure it meets standards of safety.

Pros

Strong brand reputation and credibility in the marketplace. Excellent opportunity to gain experience in sales, compliance, testing, certification, and regulatory industries. Friendly, knowledgeable, and collaborative colleagues who are willing to help each other succeed. Good work-life balance compared to many sales organizations. Stable business with diverse industries and customers. Professional development opportunities and exposure to complex customer challenges.

Cons

Typical large-company bureaucracy can slow decision-making and execution. Internal processes and approvals may require patience and persistence. Organizational complexity can sometimes create challenges when navigating cross-functional initiatives. Career progression may occasionally depend on understanding and adapting to corporate dynamics.
