Pros

Values-based organization that prioritizes people (truly). Positive growth trajectory for the foreseeable future. Growing presence in Greater Metro Area commercial markets. Great position in cloud services, IT services, data analytics. They seek the best and pay them accordingly. Employees very active in local community in order to make positive change.

Cons

Potentially limited opportunities for non-technical career fields.

Thank you sincerely for the kind review. With respect to the 'con,' over time UNCOMN has developed highly technical 'chops' . However, we are a business-oriented technical consultancy and require consultants with a strong knowledge of the industries we serve. Of our four communities of practice, our Systems Engineers and Data Scientists are highly technical. Our Business Architects and Solution Agilists are less so, but the best consultants in these areas have "one foot in both worlds"--i.e. combine a strong knowledge of our clients' industry with enough technical savvy to serve as a translator. Our Communities of Practice are learning communities designed to develop these capabilities in our people and we look forward to developing both tech-savvy management consultants and business-savvy engineers.

Pros

Work is flexible with plenty of opportunities to train and grow. The people I work with are great and generally happy to be here. The company does well to find the right place to fit you in, leveraging your strengths.

Cons

Contractors are generally looked down on by government employees and occassionally you have to deal with some interesting personalities

Thanks for taking the time to give feedback--both pro and con. The bulk of UNCOMN's services are to government agencies. Unfortunately, the tendency you describe is an unavoidable element in most government contracting, yet we can (and should) mitigate that on our side. If you have ideas on how we can do that better, don't hesitate to stop by and let me know.

Pros

Great leadership, transparency, benefits. I had a wonderful experience working at UNCOMN for about 3 years. Top leadership genuinely care about the company/employees and, if you show interest /actually put the work in, they help you advance your career. When I talked to upper management / C-suite about my new opportunity that I was taking, they were genuinely happy for me because I thought it was good for me. They also said I always have a place there if I want to return. I give my strongest recommendation to this company.
