Pros
1. Job Security, They are the largest health system in Western PA, as long as you do your job you will have a job 2. Very low stress environment if you work in the hospitals, can't say they same for corporate side 3. Because it is so big you can transfer all over. 4. Benefits are probably the best you can get.
Cons
1. The doctors run everything and sometimes it makes no sense how they are babied 2. The Pay sucks, and they will almost always start you on the lower end of the pay scale..they will low ball you 3. Opportunities for advancement for a PC Consultant are difficult, your better off trying to get a Systems Analyst position, PC Consultants are usually pigeonholed in their jobs.
