Pros
Pay was decent and my co-workers were great.
Cons
Management was awful, especially the extremely young (mid-20s) individuals who had never worked outside of UPMC. They "knew it all" but in reality, had no idea about industry best practices or ways to improve current processes. Client feedback was taken as 100% accurate, without knowing our side of the story. Clients (hiring managers) were quick to escalate to our 25 year old "managers," while discounting our recommendations and experience. You're just a cog in a wheel, as long as you're a "yes man" and don't question anything ever, you'll be fine. The only people getting promoted were the ones socializing with their leadership outside of work, but that is somehow not a problem? Sleepovers and drinking parties are common, but goodness forbid you have a family and need to be home with them in the evenings. When turnover within a 100+ person department is >50% in a year, maybe it's time to take a look at who is being promoted into "leadership" roles.
