Pros
- Hospital network makes referrals and inter-professional collaboration easy - Many high quality people work there - Health insurance benefits are fairly good
Cons
- Puts profits above patient care and safety - Pushed to see more patients, the only way to be viewed as "high performer" is averaging >15 visits per day - No time allocated to documentation. Either do this instead of spending time with your patients, or do it at home on your own time - Upper management structure and efficiency is a joke, there are numerous VP's who provide little to no value to the company despite being high earners. They do not communicate with the staff under them or, so it seems at times, do virtually anything in their day to day - Pay is laughable. 20% lower than surrounding areas while also seeing higher volume patients - Bonus structure is misleading and over-estimated during interview and onboarding process - "Raises" are enough for management to say they did so but are hardly even noticeable - Most providers struggle to stay more than 5 years due to burn out and frustration with this system
