Pros

The only perks are that the job is easy and working from home, but both of these are ruined by the amount of work you are required to complete.

Cons

DON’T CONSIDER ANY REVIEWS BEFORE 2024 BECAUSE OF CHANGES MADE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR. If you want to be micromanaged on productivity to the point where you feel like you are in middle school, this is the job for you. The only thing each person in leadership cares about is saving every last penny by making you work as hard as possible for as little as possible. From my experience, most of them are wolves in sheep’s clothing so don’t be fooled by them seeming happy and friendly because the moment you take too long to complete work or don’t work a claim until three minutes before you clock out, you will realize how toxic the level of micromanaging on production is. The annual raises are scrutinized in such a way that it is near impossible to get the full amount, and inflation raises/any types of bonuses are non-existent. The metrics are set so that you can barely leave your desk, and you have to get permission to write off any type of down time which is tracked to the minute. You are questioned if you take too long to complete work and if you don’t hit your metrics for even 1 month (no matter how long you’ve been in the job), you are put on coaching which can lead to termination if you don’t boost those scores in a certain time frame. Employees who have been there for 15 years have been fired at the drop of a hat for not meeting the ever-increasing metrics. There is zero compassion and zero empathy, only each leader trying to impress the leaders above them at your expense. It is literally non-stop clicking and typing for 40 hours a week and other departments even track the amount of time you’re not actively keying in information by measuring keyboard presses. Also, if you bring up any concerns, they tell you why you shouldn’t feel that way, insinuate that you are the problem, and leadership actually encourages you to apply to other companies if you’re not happy rather than trying to retain workers. They say “sometimes that’s what you have to do.” AVOID unless you’re desperate.

Pros

Academic center. Patients are receiving most up to date care.

Cons

Company is reactive and not proactive when it comes to foreseeable issues that staff bring to administrations attention. Finance dictates everything. Patient care is not a top priority as it should be and either is retaining staff. You can only take so many years of knowing something could be so much better than it is if you had enough staff and providers to care for patients. Constantly running with the bare minimum. It wears you down. Supervisors are responsible to improve things for their team but not given the proper tools (more help) to do so.
