Pros

-Working on multi-million dollar aircraft -Completely Hands-On Job - Opportunities to grow (Promotions, free college, opportunities to lead) -Authentic Sense of Camaraderie -Food is Awesome -Pay gets really good @ the 3 year mark -Writing my Resume after getting out was a walk in the park Basically, I joined at 19 years old, not knowing what I wanted to do with my life. This job isn't the easiest in the world, it sucks actually I'll be honest, but I feel like a grew tremendously as a person while I did my time in service. Got my first car, my first girlfriend, my first apartment, actually starting taking college seriously. Had I stayed home, I'd still be the same 19-year old in a 30 year old man's body. Glad I took a chance on this, it worked out pretty well.

Cons

- Insanely long hours -Working weekends/holidays -Time away from friends/family - Staying on your P's and Q's

Pros

Teaches you a trade while paying you. Social appreciation. Purpose. If you have no idea what you want to do with your life especially as far as a career goes, run to a recruiter. Regardless of whereever you come from a military career is your stepping stone into middle class and up living and career opportunity.

Cons

Every extra dollar you attempt to make beyond your rank will require more work than you will be paid to do. The real payoff monetarily you get from competing in the military will come in to play during your post life. Confidence, courage, accountability, etc are not standard attributes in people at all.
