Pros

They allow remote or hybrid for some positions

Cons

Good lord, where to start?… This company seems to be deathly allergic to efficiency on every possible level. SAAS salespeople out there must phone in their sales goals and just adore the CTO as it seems USF is religiously dedicated to purchasing as many database/software programs as possible, and the less they integrate with one another the better! I’ve never seen such a large company rely so heavily on some random spreadsheet that Susan in Milwaukee made up and passed around; the amount of critical data just sitting in sketchy sheets on random employee desktops around the county should be cause for an investor-wide panic attack. Employees are forced to find work arounds like this because the absolute crack circus that is the tech suite used by USF seems almost punitively unnavigable. I imagine USF has a team of sadists sitting in a dark basement somewhere munching on stale saltines and sipping flat dollar store cola who are dedicated to making every task as complicated and un-intuitive as possible. Their little “stop waste” motto would be fantastic if it weren’t so hilariously off target. It’s honestly a miracle (and testament to the employees’ dedication) that any customer ever actually gets their deliveries. In addition to the entire ordering/delivery process being unnecessarily complicated for customers and employees alike- US Foods seems equally dedicated to making any employee benefits/HR questions/etc as complex a maze to navigate as demonically possible. About 3 years in and I have seen as many CEOs come and go- along with countless middle management and co-workers. If being trapped in an endless game of “telephone” always getting 4th hand incorrectly translated information sounds fun… or if you’re a chronic people pleaser with a boarder-line unhealthy work-ethic and you need to have that ground out of you and replaced with ALL the apathy… or you just really enjoy getting a cost of living increase on your pay that’s less than the cost of living actually went up, effectively leaving you with a pay cut while the CEO de jour boasts of record profit on a townhall zoom call… then… this is the place for you!

Pros

401k is good Benefits got more affordable

Cons

The biggest con is what must these big companies fail to focus on. Money. If to ask, even if you document measurable results ,that i spent a long time composing. You are told that other mechanics get the same or around the same pay. Then say no. Going the extra mile everyday, doesn't get you anything . Yes it's pay. We start a little better than market. But don't go up from there. Yes not right. Not we cannot get any overtime to make up for the lack of raise . It forces good mechanics out . Also they focus way to much on irrelevant things like dei etc .it should be the work you do not what you look like.
