Pros
Some person at US Postal Service said, once you are permanent (which could take as long as 2 years) you could have a good career.
Cons
I accepted an offer then had to decline it for wasting my time so no, I never worked for them officially. The process to get employed with them was just bad; multiple errors: postmaster assistant email address and times for orientation. I received a "conditional offer letter", multiple emails (took drug test, fingerprinted, ID badge) Nov 4. I waited and waited and had to call post master of my location to see if I'm in the group for orientation, waited again. Finally, when I got my ID badge I had an informal meet and greet where she said an RCA may be guaranteed 1 day a week and later after a year or 2 (seniority is met)could be permanent full-time. She said didn't you get your official meet and greet with a real person and 'No, I didn't. Finally Dec 7th was orientation and I just didn't have any wind in my sails for this position. When you do 1 day a week, you don't get benefits and you don't necessarily get a choice of days. What a waste of time!
