Pros

Only advantages for manager, they are making money unethical way.

Cons

Managers openly take bribes from external consultancies commissions to get candidates hired outside, bypassing internal bench resources completely. Even when skilled people are on the bench, managers refuse to place them because they'd rather pocket kickbacks from outside agencies. Lose your project? You're dumped on the bench, where bench managers/HR pressure you to resign instead of helping you find a new role.

UST Response

Allegations of bribery, conflicts of interest, unfair hiring practices, or unethical business practices are taken very seriously at UST. Our Code of Business Ethics prohibits offering/receiving anything of value for business advantage and encourages associates to report suspected violations through the Ethics hotline reporting tool. All violations reported are investigated, with zero tolerance against retaliation of individuals who report them. We also recognize that moving to the workforce talent pool/ bench can create anxiety. We actively partner with the internal Talent Supply team to make every possible effort to deploy associates into suitable opportunities. To enable a proper review of specific concern, we encourage sharing relevant details through Ethics Point, which allows for confidential or anonymous reporting.

Pros

I have been associated with UST for almost 12 years, starting my journey as a Tester and currently serving as a Senior Project Manager. Looking back, the growth opportunities provided by the organization have been remarkable. One of the biggest strengths of UST is its people-first culture. The leadership team is approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in employee success. Throughout my career, I have received continuous encouragement to take on new responsibilities, learn new skills, and move into leadership roles. The company places significant emphasis on employee well-being, work-life balance, and professional development. I have had opportunities to work across different domains, engage with global clients, and grow both technically and managerially. What makes UST special is the trust it places in its employees and the collaborative culture that exists across teams. It’s a place where dedication and performance are recognized, and individuals are given opportunities to shape their own career paths

Cons

As with any large organization, some processes could be streamlined for faster decision-making.
