Pros
- Exposure to wide array of technologies and stacks - Diverse set of technological problems if you're interested - An Opportunity to work closely with a few of the smart minds - Flexible timings and a decent culture. - Exposure to politics of varying degree (yes it's a pro!) - Great office aesthetic with potted plants tended to carefully. - Free lunch when client comes to visit First 4 points weren't sarcasm. That being said if you keep your head down and work your way , you have a lot of time and bandwidth to explore and learn before you kick off of this stepping stone.
Cons
- Ton of Ignorant people on the floor who act like they're entitled to do anything they so please. - Employees are not usually judged/valued based on performace or contribution or other such silly metrics. You are usually valued on what noise making , drum beating how much confidence you exude. - You're expected to bend over backwards for the client as long you're getting billed. - A lack of comprehensive understanding of technology or businesses , coupled with the fact there's no sane person there who bothers to tell them , powers this ignorance into arrogance.
