Some really nice and clever people, nice office, good location.
Cons
Unfortunately a lot of idiotic people, small minded attitudes, poor compensation, people promoted into positions they clearly are mentally unfit for. They either do not have the skills to manage people or the ability or right sales experience to fulfil the expectations of the inflated job titles they give themselves - and they all hate each other! Very much an old boys club (old "little" boys in some cases! No forward planning, no investment - no idea! A different strategy each month from a failing MD who doesn't seem to understand the media business but is very good at parroting the MBA buzzwords and the BS he learned at business school. If you are here in a creative or journalist role you will quickly realise that it's not really a media company anyway, its an events business with its publications and web sites used to promote these - everything is geared around these. Editors are expected to spend a lot of time trying to find speakers for events and promote the events at every opportunity.
