Ultimate Exposures

Is this your company?

Pros

The other employees and contractors are nice to work with. Most technology is up to date and the company uses messenger to communicate between all offices. Company cell phones are provided so you do not have to use your own line and mileage is compensated at .48 a mile.

Cons

The owner is a bully. You have to wait 90 days before any benefits are accrued yet you are allotted $45 a check for insurance ($100 a month) which is also a benefit? They call you at all times on your work phone. If they don't get you they call your personal cell over and over even on your days off. They tell you that Christmas is off paid BUT you actually have to work 6 and 7 day weeks in September to make up for those days (luckily I never had to do this). When 6pm hits the owner gets a kick out of asking you to do something that can't wait just ask she is leaving. You could be there until 9 or 10pm and still not be done. Pay is ridiculous. You are paid the minimum for them to make you salary. There is no respect and you are bullied for anything they don't think is the UE way. There is almost no room for growth. you can grow with the company but you will still only make $16 an hour with no paid overtime. They also hire a large amount of independent contractors, make them wear uniforms and pay them minimum wage or $10-13 an hour. Too many are available for the work that is needed and most end up on unemployment and begging to be put on jobs. They only let their favorites out on jobs unless they need more people.

Pros

Everyday at UE is a little different. You quickly build strong friendships with the other office staff. The office runs at a fast pace, and demands quality work from everyone. It is a rewarding and fun place to work.

Cons

I would have liked to have more PTO but their policies are pretty par for the course of small businesses. On the other hand they are extremely flexible and I never had a vacation request denied. No really a con more of a trade-off.

Pros

It's an everyday experience with a camera, backdrop, and lighting gear. The team is great once everyone gets to know each other. Supervisors are great to work with.

Cons

There are long hours and not enough pay for the type of work. Logistics is often incorrect or missing information. You can be easily fired or replaced. Call times are not structured and are all over the place. They say they're flexible when they're really not. Not a place of work for someone who has a life outside of work.
