Pros

Interesting work at times depending on area.

Cons

Most parts built on Frameworks so you mostly learn about those. Even though you haven't experience on these Frameworks they expect you to hit the ground running. The company went private and contracts changed. An old boys club as it was a satellite office. Cost cutting kept the heating off in some parts of the building. The building itself was previously a cattery.

Pros

The organization has brought in a large number of new folks over the past six months. Only time I've seen a private equity group invest in growth instead of just cost cutting. Major focus on growing and finding work with new customers. It's been a refreshing change of pace. The Austin group rolled out a new work schedule with a standard 4x10 Monday-Thursday week, with Tuesday and Wednesday in the office. The three-day weekend every week is nice.

Cons

Some of the products have a lot of tech debt that we have to work through.

Pros

Good pay and benefits. Good working arrangement, able to work from home and come in once a week. Summer hours are 4-10's so you always have a three day weekend.

Cons

The company was purchased by an investment group.
