Pros
Good job for seasonal people wanting to travel
Cons
This company does NOT care about it's employees AT ALL. They are the MOST UNSUSTAINABLE company but boast their sustainability practices so if that's a main reason you're looking to work here steer clear! Last season the pipes burst to the toilets and showers and the company still decided to continue to rent their over prices tents even though all 69 tents (that hold 2-6 people) were using 4 bathrooms. As the front desk supervisor I blocked rooms so we didn't book any more and we could keep our promise of a relaxing vacation for the people we already had booked and didn't want the front desk employees being abused by the guests anymore than was already happening. Apparently money is more important than keeping their word and they continued to book rooms after I initially blocked them from being booked. The management doesn't stand up for their team. I was never coached or told anything negative about the situation last year but apparently wasn't invited back to work this year and had to be "vouched" for by one of the AGM's. This year I was vouched for and returned as a server. There are so many inappropriate relationships between management and staff and they are direct managers to the people they are in relationships with. They say they want the staff to share their talents with the guests. I was teaching a paint night class and I told them I had more availability to do more classes - they canceled them all together. I was marked down as "unhirable" because I switched to part time since the hours were affecting my health and because of the short season I wouldn't be able to live through winter without another job. I was also told I wasn't eligible to be promoted because my fiance worked there last year but I was convinced to not continue my application because of the conflict of interest meanwhile there are way more inappropriate relationships that were/are happening.
