Constant change, causes constant worry. Will I have to move my family without any relocation package, will I get laid off? Personal Experience: I'm a 7 year employee moving closing to my headquartered location, five days before new home closing date ..... UP abolished jobs, no warning or heads up. Forced to back out of house. To retain job, moved family out of state 9hrs away from previous home and all family. Worked 1.5 yrs out of state, land job back home. Close on new house, move family 9hrs back home, three days after paying first house payment, UP abolished more jobs. Currently, I'm living separately from family, 6hrs from home, actively seeking employment and still worried... will I get laid off. I would not recommend Union Pacific to friends or enemies!
