Pros
-Diversity in work content possible -Commercial focus of all activities -Effective organisation, down-sized, no wasted resources anymore (after cost-cutting) -Sizeable activities in several business areas -Employees went through times of significant cost-cutting, those times are past. Growth is on agenda. -Good work-life balance, good pay, in liveable city of Duesseldorf. -Sociable colleagues (good people stayed, some snobs left to E.ON :-) ).
Cons
-Uniper management is still dominated by E.ON and Ruhrgas employees who never left golden cage and who have built strong career alliances amongst themselves. Not ideal for environment for newcomers. Career advancement seems reserved for employees who served for long time. Overall limited opportunities to grow unless you served for years - but this varies by department. -Uniper is a takeover target by other utilities. This may imply change in coming years. -Brand "Uniper" little known, as not active in end-consumer segment.
