Pros

Qualified and compassionate staff, and you do feel like you are making a difference in the lives of the people you serve.

Cons

Upper management has little insight with day to day operations and changes responsibilities and focus capriciously with little regard to how it affects their downlines. Pay is not competitive, but benefits are average. There is no paid time off for holidays. Employees are always accruing PTO with each pay cycle, but you are required to "pay" for every holiday out of the PTO bank.

Cons

Unprofessional, zero qualified trainers or a training department. Zero morale, employee engagement, team building, etc. meetings with your own team were extremely uncomfortable and cold, let alone the whole department where they just pretended things were rah rah sis boom ba. A complete joke. In my 25+ years in healthcare I have never seen such miserable, uncaring, heartless and boring individuals. The turnover rate is a huge red flag as well as the 3-4 months of nonstop requests from HR before you even start! While the pay was fairly reasonable at the time, the mental anguish far outweighed and was not worth even twice what I was being paid. A very toxic culture and environment.
