Pros

Long hours. If you're hurting for money. It's an O.K. place to work. Overtime is mandatory.

Cons

The Captains are very disrespectful and rude. They compel you to work through your breaks. One time, i worked over 12 hours, and didnt receive the legally required 2nd lunch. And, if you complain, they give you the axe. And, the hourly wage is low.

Pros

The leadership team includes a Harvard Business grad, an entrepreneurial genius, and a COO who enables and nurtures personal growth. One can easily make good money if the right amount of effort is invested into closing and growing customers. The place is very well respected in an industry where trust is hard to come by. Ideas are executed on demand, but only if they make business sense. Several former employees have gone on to have successful careers as business owners and as valuable contributors in well-known organizations, public and private. The skill-development comes from the job description, you are basically selling risk. And they train you do so in a way that makes selling anything else easy. Through expertise, credibility, product knowledge, and authority.

Cons

The commute sometimes involved traffic.

Pros

I joined 1-2 years after college and stayed for almost 5 years, during which time I got married and did additional schooling. This is a great place to learn sales and trade (domestic and international). As a native English-speaker with an interest in culture and languages, Via afforded me opportunities to speak Spanish daily and develop business with Latin America, Africa, Asia, Middle East, and Europe. They're a leader in the wholesale liquidation industry, controlling major contracts for supply, which makes them well-positioned for future growth. Once your book of business is established, the pay potential can be great. The technology (CRM, sales tools, website) are accommodating/flexible. The leaders are supportive and the team is experienced/enjoyable.

Cons

The beginning grind to develop your book of business - join knowing that you'll have to work to establish this.
