Pros

The pro’s of case management is spending time with the patient and family. There’s a lot of autonomy with being a case manager, you get to schedule patients wkly, according to need and location. Checking in with family members for any updates and altering plans for wk if needed. While traveling to home there are times you need to pull into a sweet coffee shop and take a breather while you contact MD and send msg’s to the office or supply vendor . Throughout day you stay in contact with your team members through a team chat that’s continuous. So yes maybe you miss your teammates but we do all meet up 1 day a wk for meeting day.

Cons

The cons are few that I have seen, but I would say..training across the board in all positions. ( I have seen new nurses not knowing what to do) Working the one weekend a month, (Perhaps make it time and half along with taking the 2 days off in place of working the weekend.)

Pros

Management that is listening to my concerns and helping me navigate on resolutions. Wonderful General Manager that cares for the team.

Cons

For marketing positions, there are strict requirements for documentation and thresholds to receive compensation for referrals.

Pros

Great organization structure. significant opportunity to growth for lateral and/or vertical transition. Great compensation for all disciplines if done right, a great work life balance

Cons

Initial hiring, orientation is relatively slow may be even boring process. organization values people too much and believes in helping growth of individual so much so that some time slackers are able to survive longer then they should. which can cause loss of motivation for highly driven team members. the way I would survive if I am motivated for the cause is do what is right for you and your patients, apart from that just wait for the right time. Biggest pain point is EMR. this organization is slow to the game but the organization is building and perfecting home built EMR product to have maximum flexibility. currently going through growing pains.
