Pros
I'm sorry, but other than this position is remote, it's challenging to identify any significant pros in my experience as a Content Moderator in this company. The role has been quite challenging, and the management style has been top-down and non-agile, which has made it difficult to find any positive aspects to highlight.
Cons
Top-Down Management: The company's management style is extremely top-down, making it challenging for employees at all levels to have a meaningful impact or contribute their ideas to the projects. This lack of collaboration and inclusivity is a significant drawback. Immature SDLs: SDLs often lack the maturity and experience needed to lead effectively. This results in decisions that seem disconnected from the actual work being done and a lack of understanding of how to improve processes. Manual and Monotonous Work: Content Moderators are treated like factory workers, with the work being mind-numbingly manual and repetitive. Tasks like pressing a button hundreds of times to meet quotas offer no room for growth or development of transferable skills. Limited Opportunities: Opportunities for career growth and skill development are severely limited. The HR department appears to be looking for candidates with higher education and experience, which is misleading given the nature of the job. Misleading Opportunities: The only opportunities that seem to come along are related to taking on more unpaid work, often presented as something that could benefit one's career. This is misleading and frustrating for employees.
