Pros
Overall starting out there you can make a lot of money if you are good with people and convincing people to take short term contracts. It is a good starting job right out of school or for a person who likes to be on the phone. It will give you work experience and the potential for a decent salary if you are good with interacting with strangers over the phone.
Cons
People are not that welcoming and there is a little bit of a cut-throat environment. It is not too bad but occasionally some client poaching can happen. Most of the job consists of making phone calls all day long. The main purpose is to get people to sign on to temporary medical device or pharma contracts. This in general is not bad but the company immediately drops the clients once the temporary position is over, which often leaves the client without work. The idea is to keep them working in temporary positions and have another one lined up right after the previous one has ended. Unfortunately that does not always work out. The bulk of the money you will earn will be from commission. Any bonus that is received will have to come from a team effort so no matter how hard you work and how well your year/quarter was it depends on how everyone did which decides your bonus.
