Pros
I had some of the greatest thinkers of a generation on my team and we functioned extremely highly relative to other departments. They recognize hard work. I absolutely loved the diversity on my team. My manager was an excellent judge of character and built an amazing unit given all of the constraints.
Cons
The product team. The executive decisions that are made. Lack of continuity for anything. What they preach is not what they practice. People are largely there for a check. Nobody trusts anyone above their direct report. Product team does not provide necessary internal documentation for processes. The salary wasn't good. Too many bros in positions of power to make meaningful progress with the product. Lots of empty promises.
