-Though the pay is pretty good, the healthcare benefit is horrible and not getting better. Isn’t that supposed to be their thing? -Insurance brokers dislike them because of their commission payment structure, doctors dislike them because of the difficulty in receiving payment, and members dislike them because of difficulty in finding doctors in the network. Gonna be a struggle for them to survive. I’ll be surprised is they are around in 5 years. -Often the execs and upper management (at least in my division), are not appropriately knowledgeable. They seem smart, just not about the right things to build the business, and they often don’t really seem to care about that. -Leadership v. Management is clearly not a priority. -You can ask, a lot, but you are rarely given tools to succeed or informed of your budget but then questioned often about why you haven’t successfully completed something you’ve consistently asked for information on without answers. -Though they hire a diverse group, their company policy words don’t match the actual implementation when it comes supporting marginalized groups and people with their services. -Will attempt to change your location and office days without recourse. -Moving up from within is nearly impossible, though they will tell you different while hiring less qualified people for those positions.
