Pros

We get to work with different clients in different industries. We move at a fast pace, so this gives opportunities to learn. and work with some really interesting and great clients. Good environment, the team has always been remote and distributed, so the flexibility is always appreciated. There is a team environment, where autonomy is encouraged, flexibility is given and they are understanding of a person's well-being and professional career growth. It's a results-focused environment. The CEO is really knowledgeable and knows the industry well.

Cons

Since it's a startup and moves at a face pace, things keep changing. You have to be able to keep up and know what you're doing. Sometimes you have to work different hours, late night or early morning as clients are all over the world and have to adjust to their timezone. Not a big deal though.

Pros

it's a small team where we work at a fast pace most of the time. You really have to be on your A game. I learnt so much in my first 3 months that it felt like 12 months of learning. Lots of autonomy, so you need to take ownership and accountability. Room to grow, make mistakes and learn. We've also been singing up some Tier 1 clients and national brands thats been exciting to work with. More of a "get the job done" mentality versus hours logged. Being remote is also great. Flexibility of work hours.

Cons

Can get hectic if you are not organized and disciplined. Sometimes some processes are not defined, so have to learn on the fly.

Pros

Was fresh out of college looking for an opportunity and was able to get one with VM

Cons

A lot of grandstanding at the initial interview made it seem like the position was more challenging and important that it actually was. There was hardly ever an itinerary or schedule to complete tasks, but I did receive a monthly quota for what I was hired to do. Don't understand why I was ever told to come into the office since it was just a waste of gas and there is little to no mentoring involved. Make sure to get your contract ironed out and signed (paid or no pay) before you start because the terms of my hiring changed drastically from what I was initially expecting. As far as real-word applicable skills learned? Assuming you're not looking for any money and not a resume padder, you would be better off just taking 30 minutes of your day to watch a "how to" video and save yourself from wasting resources that could be applied elsewhere.
