Pros
1. Company is growing rapidly - we now serve Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio. 2. The non-profit mission is really inspiring, and services (organ and tissue procurement, blood collections, medical/physician services and research) are legitimately saving lives - which is exciting. 3. They really invest in their leaders - providing hours of training and support 4. My boss is awesome, she supports me, has my back and actively works to provide me with opportunities to grow and develop. I have not had this level of support in my career - and it's refreshing. 5. No meeting Mondays - put in place to help everyone get things done on Mondays without distraction. It seems small - but it's a nice perk. In WI HQ - We have free parking; a delux vending machine in the breakroom; and a fun location on Marquette University's campus right across the street from a Starbucks and other restaurants.
Cons
Growing pains - - Some employees (especially people that have worked here for a long time) are struggling with rapid growth and change and can be vocal. - New work added but resources remain the same. This can be frustrating to know priorities. - We have outgrown our HQ! Space is limited, and departments aren't always able to sit together. HR is working to better define career paths at the company - once complete, that will be useful for employees just starting out to better understand how they can grow - b/c that's not always clear.
