Pros

Had to have 8 billable hours in every day, employees that were there for a while, could usually get this done in like 6 hours, which made for an easy day.

Cons

As a junior level developer i still had to have 8 billable hours in, since I was a junior this sometimes took me 9-10 hours and i had to stay late. You constantly felt the pressure from management. Poor project manager. Project manager would give poor estimates to clients, developers would take the heat, when a feature took longer than the estimate. Company was too focused on billable hours to care about the product.

Pros

Small company; can perform many roles and get to know your co-workers.

Cons

Management is misguided. They chase after advertisers rather than build products that consumers will want to use. They fail to understand that advertisers follow consumers and without a consumer base, few advertisers will want to do business with you. Upper management was very inaccessible and forced the staff to screen their calls; it created unnecessary stress, and I doubt that the head of the company even knew who was working for him; he was in and out often and took very little interest in his staff. There were no opportunities for advancement and benefits were non-existent.
