Pros

The people are passionate, caring, and really down to earth. The benefits are better than most places offer. There is a lot of work, so you stay busy.

Cons

The company is poorly managed in the engineering department. There is usually one Project Manager per roughly 5 to 8 software engineering teams, and software engineers can have anywhere from 1 to 3 bosses they report to. Communication is the worst, especially for a Satellite Communications company. The lack of inter-team cooperation and communication causes overlap in releases, undocumented system changes, and costly disruptions that even make the news when they regularly disrupt service for their high-paying customers.

Pros

Great company to work that is cash flow positive, thinks long-term, cares about people. Lots of autonomy

Cons

internal data silos, lack of uniform internal guidelines result in folks reinventing the wheel.
