      Pros

      Vical has excellent pay and benefits with a lot of PTO. The working environment is nice, and most people are friendly and easy to get along with.

      Cons

      The CEO is a terrible person. All he wants is a bunch of "yes men." If a person tries to offer a different opinion, he is likely to be yelled at or even fired.

      Pros

      Unfortunately we were all laid off. The quality team I worked with was professional, knowledgeable and felt like family to me. I had never been happier. It was sad the drug failed and I didn't get to stay long. Great company!

      Cons

      Risky products. They don't really have anything else to work on now that their drug failed, I wish they would get more ideas and start back up.
