Pros

The people are nice and the work was not overly hard. The keurig coffee machine was my favorite part, but there was no cream or sugar, so I learned to drink my coffee black.

Cons

Sometimes the employees would ask things of the interns that were not very business like. I was asked at times to take them to the train station or to fetch them coffee.

Pros

Chance to meet real legislators, play a role in state government, network with congregation leaders and other civically minded students, wonderful and devoted staff, welcoming regardless of faith background, provides new opportunities to learn/develop unique skills.

Cons

Occasional lack of direction, sometimes work in advocacy can feel pointless, different congregations can be difficult to network with as systems and staff are often not as proficient with technology.
