Over time, the organization developed persistent challenges related to leadership practices and work–life balance. Although the company promoted an unlimited PTO policy, there were multiple instances in which approved time off was discouraged or challenged by management, creating uncertainty around expectations. Professional disagreements about work decisions at times became personal in tone, contributing to a culture where employees were hesitant to voice differing perspectives. Strategic direction from senior leadership was often unclear, particularly during periods when leadership focus appeared divided, resulting in inconsistent priorities and uncertainty about goals. Regular performance check-ins and structured goal reviews were limited, making it difficult to align work with longer-term objectives.
