This applies to the Language Services Department. Disorganized management who make promises but rarely follow through and often don't seem to know what they're doing, placing unnecessary stress and burden on employees and relying on them to work overtime/weekends to make up for their lack of ability to manage. They don't care about employees or their needs, no matter how reasonable or helpful.
Limited foresight/planning, no forward thinking, no desire to organize workflows or make them more efficient. Everything is about the here and now, and the department is suffering and may collapse as a result.
They don't know how to hire properly, which is odd given their long "firing squad" type interviews. Lots of bad/underskilled employees who can barely work a computer given more and more responsibility with limited to no training, and those who are good don't stick around very long, as they should.
The current HR is terrible. Unresponsive and rude and disconnected from how the company actually works. She's also someone I suspect posted a lot of these current positive reviews on Glassdoor since they started suddenly showing up around the time she was hired. The previous HR woman was great, but they fired her for some reason and, in typical company policy of terrible hires, got this incompetent one to replace her. Another great job.
Also, dull environment that discourages socializing (employees not even allowed to bring a guest to their yearly holiday celebration...come on). Doesn't feel like a community or a place with much personality.
