The team in Texas is filled with a extremely talented individuals. The culture within the Texas location is amazing with the perfect mix of accountability and personal freedom. I had an amazing time working for Voltabox of Texas. The problems we faced were challenging and exciting. My colleagues (both other engineers and management) became friends and it was incredibly fulfilling to see what we could accomplish and share ideas and solutions across the department.

While Voltabox of Texas is great, the downside is that you do have to deal with the German parent company. Voltabox AG has some great engineers; however, the willingness to share information or even just recent design files is nonexistent. In some cases, it made already challenging design solutions nigh impossible. Benefits are about average for small companies but overall expensive and not great.

When I Left for a better job..

Females are disrespected n not paid the same as their male counterparts. EPA violation. Management lacks the skill set to implement any kind of Quality Control. Process Improvements n never takes advice from employees..Units were shipped out the door without any testing.just to make deadlines. Employees are treated horribly..im my 30 plus years in manufacturing never have i seen such blatent disrespect for its employees..OT required every week n you will get a one hour notice you need to stay late..while you are busting your butt working weekends..they show up for an hour n leave..raises are pitiful. Definitely does no where near match .cost of living increases. Production personel were lied too about getting promotions n then people brought in from the outside making more miney than them and then wanting others to train...base pay for Technician and production technicians way below scale. You are yelled at in an unprofessional tone constantly. You are threatened your job if you do not show up for OT.. No structure or levels of advancement.. What u get going in you better not expect much after your in. You think because u are new..youll be different your not..n by the way the other reviews on hear the TWO 5 STARS that was a manager who had only been there a week who posted those..im sure his attitude will change shortly.
