Cons
I worked with the Microsoft client account at WPP Production and was part of two different teams: Events and BAP (along with other teams under the Microsoft account). Based on my personal experience, I would advise candidates to carefully evaluate the team and manager before joining. In particular, I would suggest doing thorough research before joining teams managed by certain individuals, as my experience with some managers and team leads was not positive. In my opinion, many teams under the Microsoft account at WPP Production have challenging work environments, despite the association with a well-known client. To share my experience, I found that there was no structured training syllabus or standardized onboarding process. Training was often conducted randomly, with no proper checklist or documented process. Important topics were sometimes missed during training, and getting support after onboarding could be difficult. As a new employee, I felt that support from colleagues and leadership was limited. There were instances where I experienced favoritism and inconsistent management practices. In some cases, even when multiple teams or stakeholders were involved in a process, accountability appeared to fall disproportionately on certain individuals. I also experienced situations where employees were asked to stay in the office after their shifts, regardless of long commute times. In my opinion, the company culture was not always employee-centric. Another major concern for me was job security. During my tenure, I observed employees being placed on performance improvement plans (PIPs) or laid off with little warning, which created uncertainty among team members. Additionally, there was significant pressure to deliver tasks on time, even when delays were caused by internal tools, system issues, or network problems. In my experience, employee feedback and concerns were not always adequately addressed. Overall, based on my personal experience, I would recommend that candidates thoroughly research the specific team, manager, and work environment before accepting a role at WPP Production under the Microsoft account.
