Pros
There are a few kind people that make the long days easier.
Cons
There was too much of an expectation to work long hours and “get things done”. Was hired as a business analyst, but ended up being the IT guy, BA, and data scientist. A lot of the work was knowledge work especially in building models and writing code which no one else on the team knew how to do. Unless you work in Denver, don’t take any job related to tech. You’ll be met with the expectation to finish complex solutions within days. There were way too many times when I was given two days to finish a task that would probably take a team of data analysts an entire week to do. They push this whole front as caring for their employees, but I took several days off for mental health, and no one ever checked to see if I was ok. They also gave us a gift, of our choice, that costs up to $50(including tax and shipping) on Amazon for Christmas instead of a raise. They promised at least a 3% raise each calendar year, but I never saw any raise while I was there. For the amount of overtime work required, they don’t pay enough. I wouldn’t wish working here for my biggest enemy.
