Pros

*Decent Pay (if you include tips) *Wonderful Customers (usually) *Free food *Great management-employee relationships *Most places say they are a "family", Waffle House actually is. Your co-workers normally become your best friends and are normally wonderful people. *Overall a great place to work

Cons

Every Waffle House I've ever stepped foot in was about at high scool level with it's gossip. And it was not stop, even within management. Everyone is terrified and will throw you under the bus when "corporate" comes around. I've worked there for years and heard lots about "corporate", but to me it still remains this nameless faceless entity that LOVES to try and get people in trouble for nothing. But luckily they only come around about once every 3 months

Pros

Good money opportunity regarding tips - balances out to an above average pay at the end of the year. Easley store has good management. Company wide competitive base pay rate in the serving industry. Effective strategy for order taking, placing, and EOS duties. No seniority bias.

Cons

As any serving job, there are slow no-money-making nights. 1st and 2nd shifts are not guaranteed full time. They offer the opportunity to request low income where they will bridge the gap if you make less than minimum wage but this is almost entirely unused by the servers to the complexity of the reporting process.
