Management does recognize the need to have persons willing to do their job put on shifts with those who will not work. This evened out stress situations.
Cons
In October 2019, Walgreens claims and did increase starting pay by 50 cents per hour. What the company has failed to disclose is that long term employees (associates) were reduces to the same hourly pay as new associates. Therefore, any prior increases and that due in October, 2019 were wiped out. In addition, vacation hours earned by very long term employees was reduced to match that of shorter term employees. Very sad to see a co-worker reduced from earning vacation ,after fifteen years of service, to the same as some working five years. Pay attention to the multiple times per year where associates ask customers to donate to charities. Associates are pressured to meet goals, even if it means insulting the customer in to giving.
