Pros
The team members themselves were generally hardworking, and I was able to gain hands-on experience managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role required learning quickly and handling real responsibilities early on.
Cons
The company culture was very unhealthy. Overtime was frequent and often expected, including late nights and weekends, without any overtime pay or compensation. It was not uncommon to work until very late on weekends. Compensation was low compared to the workload and responsibilities. Management relied heavily on pressure rather than support, and employees were often criticized rather than encouraged. As an OPT employee at the time, I felt especially vulnerable, as the situation made it difficult to change jobs. This imbalance was sometimes taken advantage of, leading to excessive workloads and little regard for work-life balance.
