Pros
4-day workweek, with 3 off-days. Relatively good work-life balance, esp if allocated to more conducive 10-hr dispensary stores i.e. raffles city, great world, paragon. 40-hr workweek, least amount of hours as compared to Guardian, Unity and Welcia, therefore more room to clock OT.
Cons
Lack of career progression, practically non-existent unless someone senior decides to resign. Fresh grad starting salary used to be a reasonable 3.5k, but in this day and age, it's way lower than the market rate as compared to hospitals. Lack of incentives to push for better performance, because company generally values tenure more than capability. If you do not wish to be just a cog in the wheel / "dispenser", would not recommend to stay / join in this role. Toxic upper management who do not take feedback seriously. Raised the issue of salary but was told that if truly have passion for the role, salary should be secondary. Company does not protect employees enough, stands on customer's end even though employee did no wrong. i.e. Customer's refund request was rejected because it did not follow company's exchange-refund policy. In the end, company ordered the store (which employee resided in) to proceed with refund. Shrinkage was bore by that employee (not company), affecting KPI and performance bonus. Huge gender imbalance within the department, with female majority. Compensations and benefits are minimal, do not expect too much from a retail company.
