And then fire them after a few months. When I brought up that I felt I may be more of an employee than a contract laborer because they were setting my schedule and had me sign a non-compete, and wouldn't honor my pay request, they stopped scheduling me. Didn't even have the common courtesy to communicate to me that we wouldn't be working together anymore.
