The division that I worked in was motivated and had strong leadership. Department staff were dedicated and kind. Department heads were competent and easy to work with. Newer institutional leadership is working hard to create a new outlook for Webster. I believed and felt motivated by the vision. The institution was also grounded in its DEI mission, which is rare in higher ed today.

I often felt that my team had the potential to know and do more, but lean staffing and no real budget beyond personnel was difficult. Pay was low, making retention difficult. The institutions financial challenges made work and continuity difficult, and incredibly stressful
