Pros
- 25% discount in h&m group brands - sick pay (but after A YEAR of working there!) - good uniform allowance twice a year - can progress to key holder/visual merchandiser role but other than that it's a dead end - good co workers (however don't last long)
Cons
- Awfully low pay (£9.86 if you're lucky) they don't tell you the pay until you accept the job offer - Extremely high turnover and constantly understaffed, a lot people quit after working for a couple of weeks. - Management hide in the office majority of the time leaving sometimes one person on the shop floor during peak busy times. They don't care about their staff and talk to us with no respect. A lot of guilt tripping. Certain managers change rules depending on how they feel in the moment. - Very early openings and very late closings, both intense & stressful - Change shifts last minute and don't even inform you - No clear direction with training - other sales advisors offer better guidance than whoever is meant to train you - Not as sustainable as the company claims - the amount of waste produced in one day is insane i.e. each earring is in a plastic bag that doesn't even get recycled
