Pros
Great place to build confidence. You will often hear the same colleague tell different people they have a nice booty at the Christmas party. Very motivating. Make friends for life while you comfort each other crying in the bathroom. Enjoy extended time off when burnout keeps you at home. Vacation days also grow, not sure why. Leadership is very open and honest about what they think of people, sometimes to their face. Hierarchy is very clear. Some people in sales will shout at you because their work matters more than anyone else’s. Know your value when the CEO, after a few drinks, reminds everyone he can fire them at any time. Other times he flirts, which I guess is a bonus. A women’s group was created after poor survey results from women. This was quickly forgotten, but the women still meet for lunch, so something good came out of it. Leadership are great listeners. A real life group was formed with leaders present to discuss poor anonymous survey results about work life balance and bad leadership. Leaders were asked only to listen. Staff shared ideas on how leadership could improve. Leaders said they would return with actions. It has been ten months and this has never been mentioned again. But I'm sure they heard and actioned it!
Cons
None that I can think of.
