Pros

The hotel is very pretty and the schedule was regular.

Cons

Minimum wage pay for a glorified hostess position. I came in every morning at 5:00, morning duties included: laying out the newspaper, unlocking the restaurant, signing for deliveries, moving large kegs of beer from the delivery truck, handling guest complaints, delivering room service, submitted orders, cleaning tables and assisting wait staff. No lunch break. Hardly a food discount. Pays minimum wage even though they call you a "morning supervisor", they are a owned by a multimillionaire who owns the attached hotel, but they can't give their employees a direct deposit and make you wait in line for a paycheck in the basement on Fridays. No health benefits. Food is good but not amazing. You're expected to kiss the butt of the hotel owner who is like 90 years old and shows up to eat all the time. The entire staff is super dramatic and they act like a reality tv set where everyone is gossiping about everything. I only worked here for a few months before they burnt me out. Only plus was occasionally when it was slow you could use the laptop up front to watch YouTube. But you can't sit down or look idle or they would pull you aside. Stated below: They try to impress new hires with the fancy spa and the luxurious coating but just below the surface this place is sub par and you could probably make more and be treated better at McDonalds. I'm only submitting this review because I'm required to in order to have a Glassdoor account, and I'm still taking the time to choose this place to talk about out of all of my employers (and trust me I've had some doozies) so that should say something.
